To Kwa Wan
Barrier-free Index★★★☆☆
To Kwa Wan is a traditional light industrial area in Kowloon. It was one of the factory areas in Hong Kong back in the 1950s and 1960s. The opening of the Shatin to Central Link has improved traffic flow in To Kwa Wan, and the nearby Sung Wong Toi Station and To Kwa Wan Station have drawn Hollywood productions to shoot scenes in To Kwa Wan's industry buildings. This featured route will centre on the To Kwa Wan Station and introduce nearby attractions.

Cattle Depot Art Park
The predecessor of the Cattle Depot Art Park was the Ma Tau Kok Animal Quarantine Depot, the central slaughtering centre for cattle in Kowloon at that time, hence the name of the Cattle Depot. After the closure, the government granted the Cattle Depot to artists. More than ten art groups have settled in and will exhibit their works from time to time.
Another feature of the Cattle Depot is its architectural style. The complex is made entirely of red brick, including a rare brick chimney, in a Western Victorian style, and the roof is made of Chinese tile roofs, a mixture of Eastern and Western architectural features. At the same time, the building retains the former feeding troughs for cattle, including chains and iron rings. Visitors interested in art and pre-war architecture should not miss the Cattle Depot Art Park.

Short comment: The park is designed to provide dedicated access for wheelchair users and barrier-free toilets. The park's environment is comfortable and pleasant, a suitable place to rest and take a break in the busy city.
Hint: The Cattle Depot Artist Village next to it is also open to the public. Still, most internal studios have stairs, and the entrance is narrow, attracting more visitors on specific dates when there are public exhibitions. And another barrier-free toilet is available at the junction of Ma Tau Kok Road and Kowloon City Road near the entrance to the Artist Village.

The slaughterhouse ruins are rare in Hong Kong and well worth seeing.
Tin Hau Temple (To Kwa Wan)
The Tin Hau Temple in To Kwa Wan was built in 1885. It was initially created on To Kwa Wan Village's seaside then, and the Tin Hau Temple was left on the original site after reclamation. The temple has a bronze bell, plaques, and door couples cast during the Guangxu period. Every year, the Kwun Yum Treasury Opening Festival and the Tin Hau Festival (the 23rd day of the 3rd month of the lunar calendar month) attract many worshippers to the temple to thank the gods and pray for their welfare. In addition to Tin Hau and Kwun Yum, there are also deities worshipped in the temple, such as the Dragon Mother and the Holy Graces.
