Pok Fu Lam Farm, Old Dairy Farm Senior Staff Quarters
In the early days of the period when Hong Kong was under British rule, Pok Fu Lam was once the pasture area of Dairy Farm. In its heyday, 3,000 cows were herded. The Old Dairy Farm Senior Staff Quarters with a history of more than 100 years was renamed Pok Fu Lam Farm after being activated. Pok Fu Lam (薄凫林) is the ancient name of Pok Fu Lam (薄扶林), highlighting its historical value. The Old Dairy Farm Senior Staff Quarters was rated as a Grade I historic building in 2009. The current Pok Fu Lam Farm has been converted into a museum to exhibit the history of Dairy Farm and introduce the animal husbandry in the early days of the period when Hong Kong was under British rule. In addition to the general exhibitions, there is a workshop in Pok Fu Lam Farm, where tourists can personally try the production methods of traditional dairy products and enjoy unique experience.

Bethanie Chapel
Built in 1875, the Bethanie Chapel was originally used as a sanatorium for missionaries. In 2006, it was rebuilt into the dormitory of the School of Film and Television in the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. In addition to teaching purposes, it was also open to the public. Its museum mainly reveals the history of the chapel and introduces the history of nearby villages. The chapel is reserved for the public. As the only Gothic chapel in Hong Kong, it attracts many new couples to hold weddings here.

Although the sign at the main gate says the instruction of the lift, the lift does not lead to the chapel, but to the teaching area, and the instruction is not clear.

Pok Fu Lam Reservoir
The Pok Fu Lam Reservoir is the first reservoir in Hong Kong. It was built to solve the water supply issue of Hong Kong residents in the early years of the period when Hong Kong was under British rule. After two phases of construction, divided into two upper and lower parts, it was built in 1863, with a total storage capacity of 260,000 square metres.
At present, the Pok Fu Lam Reservoir is included in the Pok Fu Lam Country Park, which was established in 1979, covering an area of 270 hectares. With the Pok Fu Lam Reservoir as the centre, tourists can enjoy the scenery of Victoria Harbour on the Victoria Peak. The Pok Fu Lam Family Walk is about 3.5 kilometres long and takes about 1.5 hours’ walk. Leaning against the Pok Fu Lam Reservoir, it allows people to walk in the nature, attracting many tourists to go hiking.

Short comments:
The whole section of the Pok Fu Lam Family Walk is a circular route, some of which is ramps, some of which is stairs, while the section near the reservoir is relatively spacious and flat. Besides, there are fewer railings beside the reservoir, which is convenient to enjoy the reservoir’s scenery, and there are many trees along the road. If people start from the entrance of the reservoir and move forward in a counterclockwise direction, after passing a section of the reservoir, they will go up the slope along the road. Then they will arrive at the fork of the Pok Fu Lam Family Walk after about 500 metres. If people walk along the main road, they can reach the Victoria Peak. If people walk along the left path, they can continue to go back to the starting point of the reservoir entrance along the Pok Fu Lam Family Walk. However, many sections of the whole Pok Fu Lam Family Walk are uphill segments, and wheelchair users should act within their means or be assisted by fellow travellers.
Starting from the entrance of the Country Park, the road near the reservoir is relatively flat and wheelchair users can easily move forward.
Info:
The north entrance of Bethanie Chapel is opposite the entrance of the Pok Fu Lam Reservoir. From here, people can reach the entrance of Pok Fu Lam Country Park after passing through the ramps. This section of the ramps is rugged. The electric wheelchairs may light up the hazard flasher, and there is no sidewalk to use along the road. People must move forward on the motor road. There may be maintenance works or parking vehicles on the road side that occupy part of the road. People should pay attention to traffic conditions and safety.

Tips
After getting off the bus, tourists can turn left at the intersection in front of the bus stop in Pok Fu Lam Village and walk cross the road, move forward in the direction of the “Chinese Culinary Institute”, turn left at the next intersection, and then reach the Pok Fu Lam Farm and the Bethanie Chapel. The north gate of the Bethanie Chapel is temporarily closed, and people must get in and out from its south gate. When people enter through the intersection, they should pay attention to the parking brake lever blocking the road. The nearest downhill road is located opposite the Pok Fu Lam Farm. People need to walk on the sidewalk first in the direction of the arrow at the road entrance in the picture, and then can bypass the parking brake lever to get to the Bethanie Chapel.
When visiting the Pok Fu Lam Reservoir and the Pok Fu Lam Family Walk, people should notice that there is a public toilet near the entrance of the Pok Fu Lam Country Park (no barrier-free toilet), and there is no restroom facility in the middle of the trip. People can consider going to the 2nd floor of the Shine Skills Centre opposite the Pok Fu Lam Farm or the Pok Fu Lam Village bus stop, which has the barrier-free restrooms. However, if people want to use it, please inform its security guard.
