The New Life Restaurant started its business as a social enterprise in September 1999 in the Shek Kip Mei Park Sport Centre. Job training and an environment of social inclusion are provided for the ex-mentally ill persons. It helps them re-adapt to the society with confidence and work capacity. The restaurant strives to provide quality catering services
including take away and catering, party food, eat-in service as well as a snack counter.

To go to the restaurant from Shek Kip Mei MTR station Exit C, wheelchair users have to take two rides of stairlift at the MTR Shek Kip Mei Station concourse to go up to the road at Exit C. To go to the restaurant, you should first go to the Shek Kip Mei Park along Wai Chi Street (partially inclined), Nam Cheong Street and the slope next to Shek Kip Mei Park Sports Centre. A long and inclined slope in the park leads to the Sports Centre. Be very careful because the slope is also open for vehicles. The New Life Restaurant has movable chairs and wide aisles; a disabled washroom is available in the Sports Centre.
Wheelchair users have to go along a long and inclined slope to the Sports Centre.

The Shek Kip Mei Park Sports Centre is a popular venue providing a range of public recreational facilities including fitness room, children’s playroom, climbing walls and indoor basketball court. It was also the Judo and Taekwondo events venue for Hong Kong 2009 East Asian Games.
