Deaf Cafeteria is a social enterprise of the Hong Kong Society for the Deaf and is run by people with impaired hearing. The word ‘聰’ in its Chinese name means residual hearing capacity, and ‘鳴’ means they would like to let people know that they can work to support themselves and contribute to the society. Comments on accessible facilities:

It is a long and complicated journey for wheelchair users to travel from Exit C of the MTR Lam Tin Station to the Deaf Cafeteria. First, they have to take the Kwun Tong By-Pass and move in the direction of Kwun Tong Magistrates’ Courts, then turn into Cha Kwo Ling Road and Yau Hong Road, and take a lift in Laguna City for the L3 footbridge. After crossing the footbridge, go leftwards and turn into Rehab Path and you can see the Hong Kong Society for Rehabilitation Lam Tin Complex. Deaf Cafeteria is small in area with few tables and chairs but the aisle are wide enough for wheelchairs. Besides, a disabled washroom is located near the café.
